The NEST, an eco-dweller's delight nestled in a forest of redwood & madrones,
borders thousands of acres of open space for hiking & biking in West Marin's SAN GERONIMO VALLEY.
This valley, comprised of 5 hamlets between Pt. Reyes Station & Fairfax, CA, is a nature lover's paradise.
You'll also find artists, musicians, healers, great restaurants, environmental activists, and a vibrant community spirit.
The NEST is surrounded by forests, hills & meadows, yet is only 45 minutes from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.
The NEST is a haven for people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.
The NEST is fragrance-free, chemical-free, & does not use microwaves or WiFi. We have cable internet.
The NEST is the lower floor of our home - a private retreat with private decks and secluded patio.

Everything with an asterisk *below is organic - the rest is sustainable/recycled.
comfortable queen-sized *mattress, 4 *pillows, *wool comforter, down comforter,
*cotton & silk bedding, *wool dhurri area rug, earth-friendly cleaning products, *cotton flannel matress pad,
bamboo flooring, private bathroom with large travertine tile shower, towels, *hemp shower curtain,
HEPA filter vacuum, recycle trash, recycle food leftovers, recycle paper/plastic/cans,
prefer using metal trash cans but the one plastic in the bathroom has off-gassed for 7 years,
low-flush toilet, reminders about using water & propane mindfully,
many windows, natural light, & fresh air, *teas,* coffee,
& *cold breakfast!
Shoes off at the door keeps the NEST free from one of the main sources of indoor pollution (your shoes).
If you prefer not to remove your shoes, tell us so we can remove the *wool area rugs
and maintain cleanliness on the floors for the next NEST guests.

We are in a high fire area bordering open space.
Please NO SMOKING of any kind on the property and no candles or open flames. No cooking in the nest.
Refrigerator, electric tea kettle, coffee maker with organic coffee & tea is included.
Pricing: Changes by season, situation, etc. For 2 or more nights $90/night + cleaning fee + security up to one week.
For one week $600/week + cleaning and security. etc. Special requests are considered for low funds or other issues.

The nest is up a flight of steps so unfortunately at this time, we don't have handicap access.
Seashell Chimes make a beautiful sound when the breeze comes through the NEST.

One of the lovely things about wild blackberries, is they just keep producing and they don't
all get ripe at once. This means we have berries for months. Yummy.
